Cool. There are much prettier places to explore.in the area. it was an expensive lesson to learn no bank fishing. You will see plenty of wildlife. nice place to hike but bank fishing is very tough to find here.Great trail. Funny. Previously, it was simply known as the Wyandanch The trail from kings park bluff to sunken meadow is very pretty and free. waiting for spring. You can also go fishing and they even have a small nature museum on the premises that is free of charge. The preserve also offers interpretive programs for youth organizations and the general public including Tiny Tots (3-5 year olds), Fun for Kids, Family Adventures, and Adult Ed-ventures. The park is near the north shore of Long Island in the town of Smithtown.Prior to its current name, the park was called Nissequogue River State Park, a name now used for park lands on the former Kings Park Psychiatric Center grounds. great for children.Beautiful trail, diverse in some areas but unfortunately no hiking signs.
