Sorry for the question bombing I am just a real noob when it comes to audio and recording. It's a Blue Snowball Black Ice and I have it plugged into my PC. But filtering out the typing while speaking would take quite a bit of effort and could also result in taking away sound that you want to hear that is part of your voice.
I use REAPER as my audio software and this was a plugin that is included.The result is pretty apparent IMO, you can hear the differences in these two clips, one from a few days ago before I made my adjustments: (Hopefully this doesn't break any rules regarding posting content of myself)IMO there is a lot less ambient noise and clicking from my keys and vocals seems less "Tin Can".Let me know if this helps you out or need more detail in this post - at work so a little hard to go super in-depth right nowOmg thank you so much!! I use a yeti and it’s not overly sensitive when using proper noise gate settings.Turn the nearly gain all the way down and try to position it close to your faceI cant speak to how your mic worked for you before but mine always picked up pretty much everything even voices on the first floor of my house. You may need to build your own sound isolation box to dampen the noises around you. And sadly that compromise starts to cut into quality and pretty much defeats the purpose for what you spent money on when choosing this mic.My noisegate setup took me a while because I not only have a keyboard next to my mic but I also use speakers for all my sounds. I use Audacity and Audio Director 6. Remember: the yeti picks up from the sides of the mic not the "tip" as shown here: The second change I made was to lower my gain to 0.
