Music Aug 28, 2014 7:31pm Danny, Chris, Rob and Erick check out the updated version of the classic dungeon crawler, Gauntlet. Gauntlet was released for the PlayStation 4 as Gauntlet: Slayer Edition in August 2015.

PS4 Gauntlet II is a faithful port of the arcade original, but the single-player mode isn't much fun and the presentation is bare bones. The Warrior, Wizard, Valkyrie and Elf of the co-op classic Gauntlet, are back in action and headed to the PlayStation Network in Gauntlet: Slayer Edition on August 11th! For example, the Warrior does the most damage in melee combat, the Wizard has the most powerful magic, the Valkyrie has the most armor and the Elf moves the fastest.

The "Slayer Edition" of the Gaunlet reimagining is available now on PlayStation 4 for $20. Gauntlet, although fairly modern in terms of graphics, relies on very old gameplay.
