I figured it was all dond and over but the next day I checked my card they tipped themselves 20$ on a pick up order I didn't tip because of the reasons above. I was back and ordered calamari steak. I asked him because we got a call from a family member that we had to be home so we asked him if he can pack it to go and he said and I quote you're not allowed to lunch around and just drink here for fun... ew ew ew ew I want to throw up!!! More soggy than anything. Remember, when you think of fresh, high quality Japanese cuisine, choose Yamato Restaurants!Me and my sister ordered during the quarantine, and when we picked up our food it was fresh, our order was correct (I get a little picky) and the woman at the front was so kind. They also forgot to cook my order and gave me a rushed undone food It cost over 100$ for 2 orders. Yamato's convenient location and affordable prices make our restaurant a natural choice for eat-in or take-out meals in the Vincennes community. we are regular clients there, Usualy the food there is great, service has been allways terrible, attitude, lack of proffesionalism and a non welcoming environment.The service is horrible.

Great service and very nice setting. I just wanted to add an update. They did, however check on us at a good pace.Pre COVID this was one of by boys favorite restaurants in the area. No answer. "I stopped by here when my car was being repaired. My family and I used to frequent the place 10 years ago when we'd be in the area. Literally the most disgusting sushi I have ever had. Stevan and Alex are awesome if you get lucky enough to get them to cook for your table. We visited at lunch so it was not very busy at all and even then, waiters didn't seem to understand us and seemed very confused by simple requests like "can we get another straw".

Never had that hibachi before but I definitely will again. He really didn't care to interact with our table. ?We came to Yamato to celebrate my friend Birthday. My favorite is the surf n' turf combo with steak and scallops.

Yamato Steak House of Japan is best known for its steak and sushi. We would always try to come here when they were back from college, so this was the pre-return to school visit.If I can give this restaurant zero stars I would but since it doesn't let me I'll give it one. We only saw our waitress two times after he arrived.

I ordered the filet mignon and salmon combo but the chef also give me some shrimp since he had extra so that was nice. Tcalled back and finally got the manager Kimberly who have me a new half order to somewhat fix the problem. Food is pretty good. It's safe to say this place has drastically gone down hill! The manager decided to come me .90 cents for my wait. Unfortunately we had to wait close to 1 hour. The chefs are fast and they know how to cook their meats properly. They have several grills so you never have to wait too long to be seated. I called ahead to make reservation so it made things easier.

They were very polite and helpful.

Incredible! My kids really enjoy this restaurant and it's very similar, its actually the only place they are willing to eat shrimp.

My husband and I love coming here for the grill. All the dinner meals include a miso soup and salad, some appetizer grilled shrimp your choice of white or brown rice and then your dinner meal. Food is good and plentiful!I orderd shrimp and steak.. my partner orderd steak and scalops.We met our family there for a birthday and had to wait for two tables, even though we had reservations made well in advance. The fried rice is really delicious (probably because of all the butter, but that's beside the point).

It's like Benihana but a bit cheaper and better tasting. I called out again...nothing.
