I always fall hard for a sexy cowboy. I can't tell you how much I loved reading Slow Ride Home by author Leah Braemel! Directed by Jesse Morrow. I loved it! His grandfather breaks them up and throws Allie and her father off the ranch. I had just finished reading a really heavy romance/suspense and needed something lighter. I know shame on me, right? The lengths to which some people will go to keep the family name and legacy untarnished is unbelievable.

I was immediately drawn to Ben and Allie's love story right from the first page when these two past lovers set eyes on each other again after fifteen years. 11 days. The images, though sometimes monotonous due to having to rely mostly on cameras mounted on the bikes or riders, are fun to watch. Will these two be able to sort out the past in order to save the ranch in the present and will who they are now be able to fall in love again or are the hurts in their past too much to overcome? I loved the characters, the authors writing style (this was a first time read for me) and plot. This is a second chance romance story sucked me in right from the start! He's so bossy as well, "hold this" was the only warning she got before he hoisted her into the truck bed." Whether or not they can keep the ranch is now in the hands of someone who has reason to hang them out to dry. My heart broke as they found out how others they trusted interfered in their young love all those years ago. I always fall hard for a sexy cowboy.

Slow Ride Home was outstanding! Truly a good honest and loving man. I liked how this story played out. I really enjoyed this book, and I’m very much looking forward to more books in this series. Allie never saw or heard from Ben after she and her father left the ranch. Allie's dad worked on Ben's family ranch and his family didn't approve of Allie.

There's a few bad guys in the mix and as the secrets start to unravel Allie and Ben get closer. Growing up on a ranch, Ben had a lot of responsibilities and he wanted to make Allie his wife one day. We got to see small glimpses of that carefree love, but it is their present relationship that has just "wowed" me. The Glock pistol has been fetishized in films and the arts, and is a regular top seller in the international arms market.
