I like that this book's lesson is that it's okay to not be the flashy, noticeable one all the time. An unflinchingly honest, eye-opening, heartful story that's sure to keep readers talking. Little Red Caboose is a children's song that was only sung in the episodes A Welcome Home and Who's Who on the Choo Choo?. The inside shows its age a bit but, again, there's some charm in that. When the train is going up a really tall hill the train starts to slip backwards and it is up the the little red caboose to save the train from going backwards which it does. The illustrations are great and the message of the book is a wonderful one for all children to learn: everyone is important, and sometimes you just have to try harder.I suppose this book is a classic, but neither I nor my nieces are very interested in it. Think more along the lines of hotdogs with relish out of a tear packet. Will definitely come back.Definitely one of those places that you would refer to as a "Hole in the Wall." The text on a few pages is a little too long for his attention span, but many other pages have very brief text. It's funny to see how excited kids get about a train in this book.Classic tale of trying harder - excellent book for small children. Open for breakfast and lunch.
