If you haven't got an old backup with the data you need - or you don't want to overwrite the data added to your phone since the old backup - try one of the following solutions.Unfortunately, iCloud doesn't back up SMS in all territories or for all phone operators.

We have two further options to try.
iPhone 4S, User profile for user: Click on Text Messages.
If your iCloud storage is insuffice for backing up multiple your devices, or you prefer using iTunes for device backup, then follow steps below to recover your deleted text messages fron your iPhone 7.
This happened to me due to an accidental swipe of a text conversation which exposed the "delete" button, and then an accidental tap of "delete" while I was trying to hit cancel.
