It’s only been a week and the Grill and Santina chef already has over 1,000 followers.
My friend texted back in horror. Absolutely deserving of its Michelin star - Carbone delivers Italian food that is better than any Italian food you've had before - even if it's as basic as vodka-sauced pasta.
Yep, that's overpriced to me, even for NYC.It took us a looong time to get a reservation to Carbone, and when my boyfriend was finally able to make a reservation we were excited to finally experience Carbone.Made a reservation for Friday lunch about 2 weeks ahead of time without too much difficulty. On to the food. A recent story he posted also showed how to make deep-fried tomato rings at the Grill.Carbone’s got jokes, folks. The cake was just super moist and not too sweet. I particularly loved the grandma bread and chunk of Parmesan (complementary), the croutons in the Caesar salad which were surprisingly soft and sweet, the spicy rigatoni vodka pasta and the lemon cheesecake for dessert. An old-school feel for an Italian restaurant, the first thing I noticed when coming in was a number of patrons getting told that without a reservation, they had no space that evening (a Tuesday), which was evidence of their busy schedule! I've been to Carbone a few times and have had a really pleasant experience; however, this weekend was different.

Thanks.Ordered in from here for our anniversary and the portions for two were solid and the whole meal was great, but not "OMG I gotta do this again" great. What safety measures are they taking?
For dessert we went with the carrot cake and that was divine. I was right, and snagged a reservation on a Friday night after setting a Resy alert the day before. The rigatoni was with a tomato vodka sauce, it had a slight flavor of ?
Going to break it down by each dish that we ordered/complimentary.
