Very peaceful and a nice break from the very busy and touristy Conway and Woodstock.We decided to take a sceanic drive and ended on the Kancamagus highway. There are other areas that sell the passes as well. The 700-foot Cathedral Ledge towers over this pristine mountain lake. Very peaceful. You can swim in there, but I suggest it be older children and up, not toddler friendly. The drive itself is very scenic and has many areas with wide vistas. I would definitely recommend this drive at least once for the scenic overlooks alone. The streams and falls are beautiful to just look at and put your feet into the cold, clear mountain water.
