Documents . M23 Junction 10 This is the main junction to branch off for Crawley town centre (westwards) and East Grinstead (eastwards). The M23 we know today opened fully in 1997 with the completion of Junction 10 and 11 connecting Crawley with the A23. We've tried to minimise vegetation clearance, but in some areas it's not always possible.We're installing new environmental barriers to minimise noise effects. Reason : Roadworks are planned.

The M23 is an important road in its own right but it's only a part of what it was meant to be, as evidenced by its first junction being numbered 7. Last year we reported on an experimental "3D" zebra crossing. As a result safety, congestion and journey times are all key issues that need to be improved.
